“Establishing positive long-term relationships with parents, staff and stakeholders while successfully advocating for the needs of our most vulnerable populations is by far my greatest accomplishment,” said Stevens. “I look forward to serving the agency and its stakeholders, staff, families and our community in my new role. Thank you to our Board of Directors and Mr. Britt for entrusting me to support GCD and giving me this opportunity to broaden my impact within the community.”
Huffstetler has over 25 years of experience in fundraising, sales and promotions including serving as Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at UNC Greensboro. He has served as the Director of Development managing corporate, foundation and donor relations at Guilford Child Development and has overseen operations of the Greensboro and High Point Family Success Centers and Learning Together program since beginning his employment at GCD in 2014. In addition to his current duties, Huffstetler will serve as the President of the Guilford Child Development Foundation and will work to establish a fund to help families in crisis served by GCD.
“This foundation will play a critical role in serving the needs of the many children and families that seek services at Guilford Child Development,” said Huffstetler. “I look forward to working with a passionate foundation board of directors that shares the vision of helping families reach their full potential. Through the generosity of our donors, we can create a funding platform that will help sustain the needs for those families in crisis for many years to come.”
