GCD's Learning Together program offers you FREE quality childcare (pre-school age children 6 months to 5 years) while providing the instruction you need to improve your English.

Who It's For

Adults (18 or older) of all levels and abilities

Benefits

Improved communication skills, higher confidence levels, better use of community resources, increased parenting skills, increased job and life skills and more!

Instruction

  • Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) instructor-led small classroom settings that provide instructor-student personalized interaction. Work at your own pace with guidance from the program staff.
  • Early childhood education (ages 6 months to 5 years old) provided by trained Learning Together early childhood staff.

Activities/Skills Taught

  • Vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing
  • Children's books for home learning
  • Field trips to community places & events
  • Guidance and instruction from health and education professionals

Requirements

Must have a preschool-aged child (6 months- 5 years old). Must test with GTCC to officially register for the program.

Class Schedule

Two or three times per week. Dates and times vary based on location.
