I have had a long and successful career as a family child care home provider. It has been very helpful to have the Regional Child Care Resources and Referral staff at my side. When I first started many years ago, RCCR&R helped me with my program. I first started by participating in the Food Program. Referrals were given to me to help keep my home full. I was interested in keeping special needs children and they made sure parents were aware of this. I also worked with DSS and the Health Department and serve as the chair for the Triad Family Day Care Home Association. RCCR&R has supported us with financial help and staff for training purposes. The staff is always available and ready to answer questions or help in any way. The training opportunities have been quite beneficial. I’ve been able to take Early Childhood classes at the community college and A&T. My hat’s off to the staff and many thanks for your dedication and commitment to families and to child care providers!
